Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update – Tuesday 17th March 2020

The situation with Coronavirus is changing rapidly and over the last 24 hours in the United Kingdom, more cases have been confirmed. We will be doing everything that we can to minimise the risk to our residents and staff, who are at this time our priority. With immediate effect, we have taken the decision to restrict visitors to our homes until further notice.

  • Entertainers trips out and visits from local schools will be stopped.
  • Visiting hours will be restricted between 10am and 4pm during the day.
  • Immediate family members only – no children. No non-essential visits to the home.
  • Visits will be restricted to resident’s bedrooms
  • Hand washing required at point of entry and on leaving the home.

We would encourage that if you would like to keep regular contact with your loved ones and friends, that this could be done using alternative methods such as Facetime, Skype and telephones. This can be arranged by the Home Manager.

Please be assured, we have not taken these decisions lightly, and we do hope that our residents, staff and family members will support us during this period of uncertainty.

We shall be assessing the situation daily and will provide any updates as soon as we have them.

If you do have any concerns or questions, please send them to our designated email address
