Just a few weeks ago it was business as usual for all of us. Now, we face the most challenging time the world has seen for many decades.
We would like to thank everyone for supporting the measures we have implemented across our Homes, in line with advice from central government and local health authorities.
Restrictions of visiting remain in place and are limited to essential visits only and by arrangement of the Manager. We are following social distancing and shielding within the homes without impacting too much on the daily routines. This is to ensure that we keep your loved ones as safe as possible.
We all know how contagious this virus is and how quickly it can spread so we continue to ensure that vital medical visits are made but ensure that they wash their hands on entering and take their temperature.
Along with these essential visits we also take all staff temperatures prior to starting their shift to ensure they are safe to work. Residents have a screening assessment carried out twice a day which observes for possible symptoms and temperature recordings. This allows staff to act quickly.
We have provided all of our homes with additional Ipads and they have now been set up for Skype calling to enable you to keep in touch. This is proving extremely popular so please bear with us if you are experiencing a delay in getting through. If you would like to schedule a call, please contact the Home Manager
We are confident that our staff will do all they can to ensure that life in our services remains as comfortable and sociable as possible.
We understand that this is a worrying time for you, and we want to reassure you that we are doing everything we can to ensure that our residents and staff are as safe as possible, and we are staying close to the advice from public health authorities.
